Nation Needs KCR Schemes as Modi Failed: KTR

Telangana IT & Municipal Administration Minister KT Rama Rao today said Telangana region was granted statehood by the Centre eight years ago, but the BJP government was spreading lies on the bifurcation of the united Andhra Pradesh.

He lashed out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi for making derogatory remarks against the bifurcation and statehood for Telangana.

Spreaking at a program with Planning Commission deputy chairman and former MP Vinod Kumar and others, KT Rama Rao said Telangana State was announced eight years ago. KTR slammed the Modi Government for “har ghar jal” and Kisan program which were copied among other schemes from Telangana. So far, Rs 15 lakh were not paid by the Centre as Modi had announced to credit Rs 15 lakh in the bank accounts of every citizen in the country after recovering black money stashed away in foreign countries.

He also said the BJP Government denied Rs 24,000 crore recommended by Niti Ayog to Telangana State. The BJP failed to fulfil promises made to the Telugu States. The BJP Government did nothing for welfare of Telangana or its farmers, he fumed. As the Modi Government was adding to communal strife, the people should teach them a lesson. No schools, medical colleges and projects, and funds were given to the State, he added.

The Centre denied funds for Kaleshwaram project, other projects but gave national status to Upper Bhadra in Karnataka ruled by the BJP Government. “Are we not in India, is Modi PM to north India and not to the southern States?” he asked, adding that the Centre was denying funds and support. He also slammed Union minister G Kishan Reddy for giving only Rs 2.50 cr for Medraram Jathara which is a mini Kumbha Mela but gave Rs 375 crore to Kumbha Mela. He also slammed the BJP State president Bandi Sanjay Kumar for speaking lies.
