No major rainfall till June end in Hyderabad, IMD predicts

For those hoping for some good monsoon weather in Hyderabad, the weather department reported that Despite monsoon rains making brief appearances in parts of the city, the India Meteorological Department-Hyderabad (IMD-H) predicts no major rainfall until the end of this month.

In the city, IMD-H predicted mostly dry weather with very light rain or thundershowers at one or two places. The maximum temperature was expected to reach 35°C in some places.

Despite moderate temperatures, the relative humidity level has spiked in the city for the last few days. As of 8:30 a.m. on Friday, the relative humidity was 73 percent and the maximum temperature was 34.4 degrees Celsius.

According to IMD-H data, the city has experienced deficient seasonal rainfall for the last three weeks. The city received only 63.4 mm of rainfall during the season up until June 22 compared to the normal 82.7 mm.

According to the weather department, many places in the State will experience the same weather pattern until the end of the month.

Spike in COVID cases is reported in Hyderabad and Rangareddy, according to health authorities

An advisory was issued by Telangana health authorities on Tuesday after a surge in COVID-19 cases was reported in the state. Wearing a facemask and maintaining social distance are COVID-19 precautions, according to the Health Department.

Compared to the 246 cases recorded a day earlier, the state reported 403 on Tuesday. Previously, 200-290 cases were recorded in the state. Over 400 daily cases have been recorded in the state for the first time since February 2022.

Twenty-six thousand seven hundred and forty-four samples were tested during the last 24 hours ending 5:30 PM Tuesday, according to the Health Department’s COVID-19 status bulletin.
