Notices issued on Telangana government regarding illegal construction in Bhadradri

According to the latest reports, notices were issued on the Telangana government over the illegal construction of a multi-storeyed complex in Bhadradri.

On Thursday, a Division Bench led by Chief Justice Satish Chandra Sharma and Justice Abhinand Kumar Shavili served notices to the Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary, District Collector, Panchayat Raj Department, Bhadradri-Kothagudem, District Panchayat Officer and Secretary, Golya Thanda gram panchayat, directing them to respond to the notices and file their responses in six weeks on the on illegal construction of a multi-storeyed complex in Bhadradri-Kothagudem, which is being built without gaining prior permissions from the authorities concerned.

The Division Bench heard the petition filed by Mangilal Nayak, advocate and Secretary, Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC), hailing from Tavrya Thanda, Tekulapally Mandal of Bhadradri-Kothagudem district, seeking a direction to the State government to hold back Banoth Rambai Haripriya, wife of Hari Singh, MLC, Yellandu Assembly constituency, who is illegally trying to construct the multi-storeyed complex on land admeasuring 2,000 sq yds situated in Survey No 239, Golya Thanda gram panchayat, a hamlet of Bethampudi Revenue village of Tekulapalli Mandal.

The petitioner’s counsel informed the Bench that the district administration had turned a blind eye to the petitioner’s complaint seeking to prevent the wife of the MLC from proceeding with the construction of the said complex and that such a construction was in direct violation of the provisions of the Telangana Panchayat Raj Act, 2018, and the rules made in the Telangana Gram Panchayat Land Development Layout and Building Rules and GO 67. The case was adjourned for six weeks.

Four illegal structures demolished by HMDA

HMDA, in collaboration with district task force teams, took action against four illegal structures, bringing the total number of structures against which action has been taken to 162 under HMDA’s purview.

In Bandlaguda Jagir municipality, the action was taken against a five-story project for which permissions were obtained only for the ground plus two levels, as well as a six-story structure constructed without permission.

Another building in Ghatkesar Municipality was stopped from being constructed when a cellar, stilt, and two floors were raised without permission, as well as a four-story structure for which permission was obtained only for the ground plus two levels.
