OIC Expresses Concerns Over Repeated Attacks On Muslims In India

The Jeddah-based Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has communicated profound worries over what it called “continued attacks on Muslims in India” and called upon the international community to take necessary measures.

OIC Expresses Concerns Over Hindutva Proponents

In an articulation gave on Monday, the OIC said: “The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation communicates profound worry over late open calls for the annihilation of Muslims by the ‘Hindutva’ proponents in Haridwar in the territory of Uttarakhand and announced episodes of badgering of Muslim ladies via web-based media destinations as well as prohibiting of Muslim young women students from wearing hijab in the province of Karnataka.

“The proceeded with assaults focusing on Muslims and their places of love, the new pattern of hostile to Muslim regulations in various states and rising occurrences of savagery against Muslims on unstable appearances by ‘Hindutva’ bunches without risk of punishment, are demonstrative of the developing pattern of Islamophobia.”

Other than calling upon the worldwide local area to make a move, the OIC further asked “India to guarantee the wellbeing, security and prosperity of the Muslim people group… also to bring the troublemakers and culprits of demonstrations of brutality and disdain wrongdoings against them to justice”.

India Responds To OIC 

This isn’t the initial occasion when the OIC has remarked on India’s internal issues.

The OIC had requested India to invert its choice from rejecting Article 370, which gave unique status to the recent territory of Jammu and Kashmir, during the sidelines of the 76th UN General Assembly.

Accordingly, India passed its message on to the OIC to cease from offering such remarks on issues which are inside to the country.
