One Million Signature campaign against mosque demolition about to brim

Overwhelming with the support for its “One Million Signature Campaign” to pressurize Telangana government for rebuilding the mosques and temple at the same place they were demolished at secretariat, the Joint Action Committee of “Baazyabi Secretariat Masajid” has decided to continue the drive to cement the cause as the number of spicimens cross the mark of 9.5 lakhs from all the sides.

Expressing euphoria over the achievement Osman Mohammed Khan, member of JAC and a forerunner of the campaign from Congress Party, said, “We are really happy over the way the communities from all sides are extending their support to the cause. It is against this backdrop the leaders of JAC have decided to continue to signature campaign while the basket of signatures are about to brim.”

Claiming that the campaign will play as harbinger of doom for the Telangana government, he said, “The overwhelming support to the drive shows that the people are really unhappy and obnoxious over the way the KCR rule is oppressing their emotions through his totalitarian rule in the state.”

“During the last 10 days the people irrespective of religion have took part in several demonstrations to register their protest against the demolition of two mosques and a temple. The campaign is attracting support from Hyderabad to rural areas of all the districts wherein people voluntarily foisting black flags on their houses beside sticking stickers demanding rebuilding the religious structure on their original place,” explained Osman.

In Hyderabad, he said, we have taken up signature campaigns in several areas besides mosques especially during Friday prayers that have boosted our vigor to take the cause to next level. As we have achieved the target of one million signature campaign even before the expected deadline, we have decided to continue it further and fixed a fresh target of two million signatures before taking the cause to the table of our eloped CM and the governor.
