HYDERABAD: As per instructions made by Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, the officials concerned have focused on expediting the much-touted Palamuru-Ranga Reddy Project. Other projects Dindi has to be finished in six months as per KCR directions.
The plan is to complete it by this year-end as it enables irrigation of two tops in the old Mahabub Nagar district. About 10 lakh acres will be irrigated as the farmers here cultivate in about 7 lakh acres to 8 lakh acres now.
It is aimed at supplying water for irrigation to the combined Mahbubnagar district. The government is to give funds in the budget for the projects. As part of the Palamuru-Rangareddy project, the officials focus on Narlapur Reservoir, Pump House, Narlapur- Edula Canal, Edula Pump House, Edula-Vattem Canal, Vattem reservoir, Vattem-Karvena Canal, Karvena Reservoir, Karvena -Uddandapur Canal, and Tunnel.
The top officials asked the district administration to speed up and coordinate for the same.
Thus, Palamur Ranga Reddy Nalgonda to be completed in one year and Dindi in six months.
