In a recent update, Ranjith Ramachandran has become a role model for society. He is currently an Assistant Professor at IIM Ranchi. But his fight for a good education and sustain himself has become an inspiration to many.
The Story From Watchman To IIM Assistant Professor
As per the reports, Ranjith lived in a frail single room made of mud. His father is a tailor and his mother is a daily wage who works under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS).]

He completed his graduation from St Pious College, Kanhangad, North Kerala. To sustain himself, he worked as a night watchman t the BSNL exchange in Panathur, Kasargod district. Ranjith completed his graduation in Economic Honors and completed a doctoral degree at IIT Madras.
After getting into IIT Madras, as he narrates, he was desperate to communicate because the only language he knew was Malayalam. Since the communication was hard, he wanted to leave it all. But his professor at IIT Madras, Dr Subhash encouraged him to not be disheartened and continue his studies.
Soon after completing his studies at IIT Madras, Ranjith joined Christ University, Bangalore for two months. Then he got posted at IIM Ranchi. He was also in the merit list for Calicut University but couldn’t make it.
In a heartfelt Facebook post, Ranjith wrote about his life struggles and the life he had coming from a poor background. He showed gratefulness towards his family for supporting him in spite of the poor financial conditions. His facebook post went viral over the social media and was shared amongst many.
Talking to the sources, Ranjith said that he had never expected his story to go viral like this. He talked about his life journey to inspire everyone.

Kerala Finance Minister Appreciates Ranjith Ramachandran’s Story
Dr Thomas Issac, Kerala Finance Minister and a Doctorate in Economics from the Centre For Development Studies said that Ranjith’s life is an inspiration for everyone. He said that when Ranjith felt defeated, he turned his life and achieved success.
Dr Issac also said that he is role model like the former President Late K.R Naryananan who also had defeating circumstances but attained success through extraordinary will power. He also said that Ranjith used his education as a tool to overcome his backwardness and climb the ladders of success.
“They must understand that education is a major tool for success and to open newer pastures,” Dr Issac said.
