Revanth Reddy Criticizes PM Modi’s Telangana Visit and Unfulfilled Promises

Revanth Reddy, President of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC), expressed unhappiness with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s recent visit to Telangana, adding that the people of the state are dismayed by the Prime Minister’s unmet promises.

“The people are disappointed with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Telangana,” Reddy said during a press conference at the TPCC headquarters in Hyderabad. During the partition, the Prime Minister made no assurances to the people of Telangana and did not keep his commitments.”

He also questioned the Turmeric Board announcement rather than the national status for the Palamuru-Rangareddy lift irrigation project, describing the visit as more about theatrics than genuine obligations.Reddy expressed worry over the Prime Minister’s failure to follow choices taken under the UPA rule and questioned whether the previous government’s pledges to the people should be abandoned.

Regarding the Prime Minister’s stance on Telangana, Reddy stated, “PM Modi was anti-Telangana, and bringing him here is an insult to the people because he believes that the process used to form Telangana was flawed.” Telangana is discriminated against by Prime Minister Modi.”

He sought apologies from DK Aruna and Kishan Reddy for allowing PM Modi’s visit, criticizing the Prime Minister’s previous opposition to Telangana creation and unwillingness to contribute development funding.

Reddy expressed displeasure that the Prime Minister did not address crucial concerns such as Telangana’s job possibilities, the ITIR corridor, the execution of the Bayyaram steel factory, and other partition promises.

He further accused the BJP of aiming to divide the anti-government vote through Modi’s travels by indirectly backing the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS).Reddy highlighted the achievements of leaders such as Jawaharlal Nehru, Indira Gandhi, and Rajiv Gandhi to the country in response to Modi’s remarks regarding family rule. He responded to the family rule argument by citing examples of political families inside the BJP.

Reddy slammed the BJP’s alliance with AIMIM and BRS, alleging that the BJP was getting protection money from BRS in order to help KCR win in Telangana.Responding to KTR’s comments about tax collection irregularities in Karnataka, Reddy offered support for an investigation into tax collections and charges by the Karnataka government if KTR initiated such an inquiry in Telangana.

He also criticized KTR for using the late NTR’s name for political gains, stating that KTR does not deserve to be compared to NTR’s legacy.Reddy’s statements reflect growing political tensions in Telangana as the state approaches the upcoming assembly elections.
