Rs 300cr for Warangal development: KTR

Hyderabad: Municipal Minister KT Rama Rao today stated that Warangal city people will get drinking water every day from the next Ugadi festival. He instructed the officials to prepare a special development plan for Warangal city and said to offer Rs 300 crore annually for development.

Holding a review with ministers Dayakar Rao, Sathyavathi Rathod, and officials, KTR has announced Rs 300 crore budget every year for Warangal city development. The center gave fewer funds and the state gave more and we gave five and times more than it he said.

KTR said that Rs 10000 crore plans will be implemented in a phased manner including Mission Bhagiratha, roads, 2 BHK housing for the poor, sanitation, and others. Of more than 3000 housing units 800 are ready for the inauguration the officials informed. Development done in the TRS ruling was more than what was done in the previous 10 years, KTR said.

The center is not supporting Telangana cities’ development and the local officials with state government support have to make persistent efforts he said. Besides allocating Rs 10000 crore for all-round development, the government will monitor the growth of the city in all fields.

The minister instructed the ministers, and officials to take up immediately the repairs, of roads and drainage lines damaged in the recent floods. Focus on the speedy completion of the programs with coordination he said. Strengthen water supply by taking 200 trained people he added.
