Salary hike for RTC, Jr panchayat secretaries: CM KCR

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today announced that salaries of the TSRTC employees would be soon increased. On the last day of the Assembly session, the leader of the house stated that the RTC employees played a key role in the statehood movement. He also announced to hike the salaries for village panchayats on regular basis as that of the panchayat secretaries from April.

The chief minister said that Rs 3000 cr has been earmarked in the budget for the RTC for its development. We are protecting the RTC and helping the employees, he said. A decision will be taken in this regard by talking about the issue with the transport minister, KCR said.

The RTS workers and staff are deserving of the salary hike he informed the house amid treasury benches supporting it by hitting on the tables. We cannot forget the RTC role for statehood and the government will honor them, he said.

He announced the good news to the TSRTC that the employees will get a salary hike very soon. We are working on the modalities and officials will be finalizing the hike amount he said.

The chief minister said that the salaries for junior village panchayats on a regular basis as that of the panchayat secretaries from April.

Telangana employees’ salaries should be more than that of those in other states and we are taking all steps he said. There is no need for fear in this regard as the employees will get a salary hike, KCR said.
