Speaker : KCR Government Follows Gandhiji Ideals

On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanthi, Assembly Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy today paid floral tributes.

With Council pro-tem Chairman Bhupal Reddy, Minister Prashanth Reddy, MP Santhosh Kumar, MLC Kavitha, and others the speaker participated in Gandhi Jayanthi.

The speaker, green challenge leader Santhosh Kumar, Kavitha, Prashanth Reddy attended a plantation program on the premises. They offered flowers at the statue of Gandhiji and recalled his services.

Speaking on the occasion, the speaker noted that Telangana state hood achieved as per Gandhi ideals in a non-violent way.  TRS boss K Chandrasekhar Rao has achieved the state which is vying with old states in development. As Gandhiji stated for inclusive growth and welfare our government led by KCR as the chief minister is making relentless efforts.

Though seven years old Telangana has been competing with other states of 70 years old and became number one in welfare, the speaker claimed.

We are fast developing in all sectors as KCR introduced welfare schemes being followed by other states.

Our state is going on with a number of welfare schemes for the poor and needy families, Srinivas  Reddy said.

It is time the youth and students should follow ideals of Gandhiji for a better and peaceful society, he added.

Tamilisai, Dattatreya attend Gandhi Jayanthi at Bapu Ghat

Gandhi Jayanthi was celebrated across the country and in Telangana state on a grand scale on Saturday. Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan, Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya, Ministers KTR, Mahamood Ali, Srinivas Yadav, and other leaders participated in Gandhi Jayanthi at Bapu Ghat near Langer House here in the city.

They offered floral tributes to Gandhiji and recalled his services. Prayers of all religions were conducted to mark the occasion.

The Governors recalled the services of Gandhiji for welfare of the poor and all-round development.
