Hyderabad: Senior TRS leader and Animal Husbandry Minister, Talasani Srinivas Yadav today ridiculed the Congress party leaders for seeking 50 percent reservations to BCs in the upcoming GHMC polls. The TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao has offered top posts to all communities with equal priority.
The GHMC polls will he hold as per the reservations that are already being followed as per norms Talasani maintained. The Congress leadership is known for giving top posts only to one community (that is Reddy) even during its rule or afterward, Srinivas Yadav said. Talking to media persons, the minister accused the Congress leaders of indulging in misguiding people in the name of reservations. While there are several incidents of continuous inflight in the Congress its leaders talking nonsense, he charged.
He recalled that Congress leaders like V Hanumanth Rao and Ponnam Prabhakar and others time and again indulged in a fight for the posts. Congress has such a dubious history of denying posts to other castes or communities and continuing infighting, he ridiculed. Then why they insist on the reservations and urge the TRS government on equal priorities.
There are all communities getting an opportunity during the polls and it’s foolish to talk for the same. The Congress leaders should first set itself right and then do justice to their own leaders. Most of the Congress leaders are joining other parties including the TRS and BJP, he reportedly said.
