TDP Activists attack Vijaya Sai Reddy’s convoy

Vizianagaram: The activists of the opposition Telugu Desam Party today attacked the convoy of ruling YSRCP leader and MP Vijaya Sai Reddy’s convoy in Ramatheertham. The glasses of the car of Reddy were damaged in the attack. The activists didn’t stop here. They also attacked the police who tried to control them.

The incident took place when Vijaya Sai Reddy came to visit the temple where unknown miscreants desecrated the idol Hindu deity of Sri Ram by severing its head on December 28 last month. The temple is located on Bodikonda.

The state government reacted swiftly in the incident and roped in five special teams to nab the culprits under the supervision of DIG Ranga Rao and the district SP Rajakumari.

It also appointed the RJC of the endowments department branaramba as an inquiry officer.  Vijaya Sai observed the entire temple along with the party activists. He also inquired about the incident from the priests of the temple.
