Telangana: CM KCR to introduce intermediate education in all Gurukul schools

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao ordered all Gurukul schools to introduce intermediate education starting this academic year. Up until now, Gurukul schools offered education up to the tenth grade.

Aside from training for competitive exams, Telangana CM K Chandrashekhar Rao also wanted SC, ST, BC, and Minority Study Circles to be upgraded as centers that facilitate jobs and employment opportunities for young people.

It would be beneficial if all study circles in the Telangana state were upgraded to become centers that provide information about nationwide job postings and employment opportunities based on a student’s educational qualifications. The Chief Minister said on Tuesday they should be upgraded as youth guiding centers.

The training at these centers should not only be restricted to State-level jobs but also prepare youth for jobs in the air force, army, banking and other sectors, said Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao.

Youth should be provided with information regarding nationwide job notifications and training as necessary. In each district, four study circles should be established, covering SC, ST, BC, and minority communities.

The officials were instructed to establish 132 study circles in 33 districts as a result.

In order to increase employment opportunities for the youth belonging to SC, ST, BC, and minority communities, study circles should be developed. They should be turned into recruitment centers, he said.

According to him, guidelines should be formulated for the definition of a model study circle, and competent officers should be appointed, adding that study circles should play a key role in providing jobs to youth who have completed ITI, Polytechnic, Pharma, Chemical, Industry, Defence, Railway, Banking, Nursing, Agriculture, among others.

It is important for them to become centers that can provide employment not only in the public sector but also in the private sector as well. During training at study circles, candidates should be provided with meals and have access to computers and state-of-the-art technical infrastructure. Telangana’s Chief Minister directed the officials to establish an “All India Services Study Circle” for IAS, IPS, IFS, and Group I examinations.
