Telangana Gears Up for Emergency Healthcare Air Ambulance

The Telangana government is poised to introduce an air ambulance service in the near future, facilitating rapid admissions to government specialty hospitals for patients in need of emergency critical care.

This specialized air ambulance initiative primarily targets individuals and families residing in remote areas and from economically disadvantaged backgrounds who require immediate life-saving healthcare, according to State Health Minister T. Harish Rao, who made the announcement.

Harish Rao released the ten-year progress report of the Telangana Health Department, praising Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao’s visionary leadership, which has transformed Telangana into a national healthcare benchmark within a decade, achieving remarkable milestones that were once deemed unattainable.

“On the occasion of our progress report release, I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the people of Telangana for their unwavering support to the health department. We remain committed to introducing innovative initiatives like the air ambulance service for the underprivileged,” remarked Harish Rao.

He also highlighted upcoming projects, stating that the state-of-the-art centralized organ transplant center at Gandhi Hospital would soon be ready for inauguration in the coming weeks.

Over the past nine years, an impressive 22,600 positions have been filled within the medical department, with ongoing efforts to appoint an additional 7,291 posts. In the months ahead, the recruitment process is expected to culminate in the hiring of nearly 30,000 positions within the medical department, he added.
