Hyderabad: Transport Minister Dr P Ajay Kumar today said that they have succeeded in the efforts of cargo services by the RTC wing.
Addressing a press conference after starting home delivery of cargo services from the RTC services here, he informed that the corona pandemic has caused loss to the RTC as also to other fields.
However, we now tide over the crisis as we are able to deliver the goods to new places through cargo scheme he said. The RTC cargo wing has so far supplied 11.50 lakhs of parcels and earned about Rs 11.50 cr he claimed.
The minister maintained that the RTC is getting back to earning the daily amounts of revenue to about Rs 12 crore a day. The Corona had its adverse impact and we got normalcy by improving the services the minister said.
Ajay Kumar claimed that they will soon reach the past revenue mark of Rs 12 cr a day as the occupancy and services were increased gradually. The RTC cargo and bus services are getting patronage from the people, he added.
