Telangana progressing rapidly under leadership of CM KCR: Prashanth Reddy

Telangana, which has been at the forefront of development, will speed up reforms in this new year, said Roads and Buildings Minister Vemula Prashanth Reddy.

The Minister stated that the State was progressing rapidly under the leadership of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao after releasing the R & B and NAC Organization New Year diary and calendar here on Sunday. “Telangana has become a role model for other States in all the fields,” he said.

He stated that the people should support the BRS government in its efforts to move the state forward. The state government intends to implement a number of new welfare programs for the benefit of the people of the state. “Every eligible beneficiary should take the benefit of welfare schemes,” he said.

Prashanth Reddy reviews 2BHK projects

V Prashanth Reddy directed officials to complete infrastructure works at all 2BHK project sites, besides where work was nearing completion.

He also directed officials to expedite the process of identifying beneficiaries in a transparent manner and finalize the list as soon as possible for the allocation of houses. The Minister was reviewing the progress of Double Bedroom Housing projects underway across the state. Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao’s priority was to fulfill the dream of poor people to own a house, he said.

He stated during the meeting that the State government had spent Rs.11,614.95 crore on the construction of double bedroom houses to date.

He stated that 1,29,528 of the 2,28,529 double bedroom houses were already completed, and that “construction of the remaining 58,350 houses is in the final stages.”

Works on 40,651 double bedroom houses were in various stages of completion.

The state government approved the construction of 2,91,057 houses under the double bedroom housing program at the cost of Rs.19,328.32 crores. Tenders for the construction of 2,28,529 houses were finalized.
