Telangana Registers 1,050 New COVID-19 Cases, Increasing the Count to 2.5L

Hyderabad: 1,050 new COVID-19 positive cases have been registered by Telangana, increasing the state’s count to 2.56 lakh, even as 1,736 additional patients recuperated from the infection to outnumber infections on Saturday.

Hyderabad accounted for the most number of infections in the previous 24 hours, 232, followed by Medical Malkajgiri,90, Rangareddy,75, Nalgonda,65, Khammam,61, Karimnagar,49, and Bhadradri Kothagudem,47.

Amongst other locations, Siddipet,36, Sangareddy,29, Peddapalli,24, Mancherial,23, Jagityal, and Mahabubabad,21 each.

In the interim, four additional individuals surrendered to the infection, raising the southern state’s COVID-19 toll to 1,401. On calculating the new deaths, Telangana’s COVID-19 casualty rate remains at 0.54 percent, compared with a national average of 1.5 percent.

Nonetheless, the southern state keeps on recording a higher number of recuperations with 1,736 additional patients recuperating from the infection.

As per the Telangana Health Department, four deaths and 1,736 recuperations were reported in the state on Friday.

The state Health Department stated the total count of COVID-19 cases in the state has risen to 2,56,713 including 2,38,908 discharges, 1,401 deaths, and ongoing cases 16,404

With the new recuperations, total recuperations rose to 2.38 lakh.

Telangana’s recuperation rate is, at present, at 93.06 percent, more than the national average of 93 percent.

Of the 2.56 lakh cases, ongoing cases at present remain at 16,404.

A total number of 13,867 individuals are in institutional or in-home quarantine in the state.
In the previous 24 hours, the state tested 41,002 samples for the infection, raising the complete number of tests to 48.5 lakh.

In India itself, 44,684 new COVID-19 infections and 520 deaths in the previous 24 hours have taken place. India’s overall count remained at 87,73,479 on Saturday. Presently, there are 4,80,719 active cases, though 81,63,572 patients have been recuperated and discharged up until now.
