Telangana Will Produce Power, AP Should Follow Project Norms : Jagadish Reddy

Power Minister Jagadish Reddy today asserted that Telangana will produce power at its projects. He hit out at the AP Government and ministers for their comments on water row and power production.

He told presspersons that the AP Government should stop the construction of illegal projects in the state.  Reacting to the AP government on comments against the irrigation projects the Minister took serious exception.

It is our right to produce power as per procedures and get our water, he said. The AP Government talking in violation of norms and levelling charges he opposed.

Jagan Government is to follow the NGT directive and the centre’s instructions on irrigation projects. Jagadish Reddy objected to the AP government for sheer violations with regard to projects and getting waters illegally. We will go to any extent to protect our water a d power rights he maintained.

Jagadish Reddy stated that they will move court if necessary and wage a legal fight on the issue.  He expressed concern that the Jagan Mohan Reddy Government is failing to follow norms.

They can go ahead with the projects only after getting permissions from the Krishna board and the centre the Minister said. The state government is following its strategy to get its water and power.

Our government will not accept AP Government demand to stop power production in Nagarjuna Sagar and Srisailam, Reddy said.

We will produce power in hydel projects and draw our waters as per norms the minister said.
