Hyderabad : TRS MP Vinod Kumar today condemned the criticism of AICC president Rahul Gandhi on irrigation projects and TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao. Talking to mediapersons, Vinod Kumar condemned the remarks of Rahul Gandhi that the TRS regime has changed the name of Dr BR Ambedkar Project. Even now Pranahitha-Chevella project was in the name of Ambedkar project and there was no truth in the name change comment, the MP said. Vinod said no changes have been made in 2013 Land Acquisition Act and only some amendments were made to help more people.
He also slammed the AICC president for his false comments that more number of suicides by farmers took place during KCR rule. He attributed the suicides to the lopsided policies of the past government in combined State. The suicides of the farmers have been drastically reduced under the KCR Government, he claimed. Rahul Gandhi has no knowledge of projects and corruption of Congress rulers, who swindled funds in the name of Jala Yagnam, he said. The Congress is synonymous for Bofors scam and the BJP for Rafale scam and both the two national parties are corrupt, he alleged. The Congress leaders are not in the public and moving courts against the development, he said.(NSS)
