UK return women vanished from Delhi airport after being tested positive for covid-19

A woman from Rajahmundry of East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh landed in Delhi from the UK has set alarm bells ringing after she was tested positive for the covid-19. She had disappeared from the Delhi airport without informing the authority. After many efforts, the woman was found at Rajahmundry in Andhra Pradesh. It was not clear whether the woman is tested positive for the old strain of covid-19 or its new variant of covid-19, But the official said they can’t afford to take chances.

As per the report, the women from the East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh came to India on 21 December, and soon after she gave the swab samples for tests.

Before her result could come in, she left the airport and boarded the New Delhi-Visakhapatnam special train. she also switches off her mobile phone apparently after learning that police had contacted her family members.
The Andhra Pradesh medical and health department has immediately lodged a complaint with Rajahmundry police after they failed to contact the women.

The behavior of the woman was very dangerous as she could come in contact with many people during the 1800 km journey.

Dr. T Ramesh Kishore lodged coordinator for the Health Service of the East Godavari district logged the complaint with the district police in Rajahmundry the police and revenue officials came into action and contacted the family of the women. The woman reached her home in Rajahmundry East Godavari district on Thursday morning.

The woman’s son has gone to Delhi to bring her mother to Rajahmundry an Officials said.
East Godavari district coordinator for Health Services, Dr. T Ramesh Kishore has said that they have found the woman and her son in Rajahmundry, and have shifted them to quarantine.

They will send the blood samples of the woman to NIV-Pune to determine whether the woman has tested positive for the old strain of covid-19 or its the new variant of covid 19.
