UP CM Yogi Adityanath Meets Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ahead of Assembly Polls Next Year

Amidst the second wave of the pandemic, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath recently met with the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi. They both discussed the political situation in the state and the steps to be taken to control the Covid 19 situation.

UP CM To Discuss Political Situations In the State Ahead of Assembly Polls 

As per the latest reports, the UP CM reached the Prime Minister’s residence at 7 Lok Kalyan Marg in Delhi. Sources revealed that Adityanath and PM Modi spoke about the possible changes that need to be done in Uttar Pradesh in the upcoming days.

Furthermore, after Adityanath’s meeting with the Prime minister, Adityanath will meet BJP Chief J.P Nadda. They both will discuss the political situation in Uttar Pradesh and the plans ahead of next year’s Assembly polls. Along with possible cabinet expansion or the reshuffle on cards. This comes after Congress’s Jitin Prasada joined the Bharatiya Janata Party.

Adityanath Meets Union Home Minister Amit Shah

On Thursday, Adityanath also met the Union Home Minister Amit Shah to discuss the political situation and saffron party preparation. Along with BJP’s performance in the recent panchayat polls and to further decide on electing it’s members as “Zila Panchayat Adhyaksh”.

Former Union Minister and Apna Dal Chief Anupriya Patel had joined the deliberation between Shah and Adityanath. Shah also had a separate meeting with Patel after Adityanath left.

At the same time, Patel who was the Minister of State in the first Narendra Modi government but failed to come back in the second term. She is reportedly demanding a ministerial berth for herself in the Modi cabinet. She has also asked for a ministerial post for her husband Ashish Patel.

Sources said she is also demanding posts of Zila Panchayat Adhyaksh of five districts; Mirzapur, Jaunpur, Pratapgarh, Banda, and Farrukhabad.
