TSRTC to run buses for institutions

When schools reopen later this month, the TSRTC plans to provide exclusive buses for educational institutions every day. In order to be able to provide more special buses to students, TSRTC officials have suggested that educational institutions stagger their timings.

Prior to when the pandemic had occurred, around five lakh students were using bus pass facilities, but the number has fallen to around one lakh in the last two years.

Greater Hyderabad Zone of TSRTC has notified all educational institutions that students should apply for free, route, general, greater, special, exclusive and district passes, except for students studying up to Class 7.

All private institutions are also notified that they must pay administration fees to obtain a code so that their students can apply for passes. For student bus passes, the online facility begins on June 10 and lasts until June 15 at all bus centres.
