WHO Chief Discusses Health, Humanitarian Crisis With Taliban

Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO), said that he met Taliban Health Minister Qalander Ebad for chats on the “dire” healthcare and humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan. Ghebreyesus revealed that the meeting occurred in Geneva on Tuesday.

Humanitarian Crisis Continues To Put Lives In Danger 

Ebad is important for a Taliban assignment visiting Geneva for seven days of talks with organizations and non-legislative offices on humanitarian access and basic freedoms, as Afghanistan’s new rulers grow their global commitment.

In another update, during the meeting with Deborah Lyons, the UN Secretary-General’s exceptional emissary to Afghanistan, Taliban Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi guaranteed to determine the issue of the missing female activists, it was declared.
