YS Jagan Heaps Praises on Govt Staff

The Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy today heaped praises on government staff including fist of collectors for working hard for the control of the Covid virus in Andhra Pradesh.

He also said that the curfew imposed by the state government from May 5 last month had yielded very good results in the state. He said that not only the cases of the virus had come down but also its positivity rate.

Reddy said that the curfew would continue till the 20th of this month and added that it would be continued even after May 20 with certain relaxation. He asked the officials to continue their vaccination drive and fever survey in a usual manner. He made these remarks during his video conference with the district collectors. He held a review meeting on the undue distribution of house pattas, progress in the construction of houses, seeds, and fertilizers during Khariff season, RBKs, and health clinics.

Speaking on the occasion he said that none should think that Covid cases would ever come to zero in the state. He said that all should remember that Covid should be faced by taking the prescribed precautions. He made it clear that all should follow Covid protocols and wear face masks to use sanitizers while noting that they should become a part of the life of people. He said that out of the 16000 Covid patients, 14000 were availing the treatment under the Aarogyasri scheme of the state government.

He asked the private hospital managements to not charge more than the prescribed charges by the state government and added that the district collectors should not hesitate to close down all such private hospitals that charged more than the prescribed charges.
