After solar eclipse, Hyderabad gears up to witness lunar eclipse

Hyderabad is gearing up to witness a lunar eclipse on November 7 following a solar eclipse recently.

Despite the fact that the total lunar eclipse will only be visible from the eastern and northeastern parts of the country, Hyderabad residents will have the opportunity to see it partially from 5:40 to 6:19 p.m.

On November 7, during a lunar eclipse visible from Hyderabad at 5:40 pm, part of the Moon will be hidden as Earth’s only natural satellite passes under the shadow of the Earth.

The event will be the last celestial event visible in Hyderabad in 2022. In a lunar eclipse, the Sun, Moon, and Earth come in a linear configuration.

Due to Earth blocking the Sun rays from reaching the Moon during the event, it appears as if the Moon has disappeared.

During a partial lunar eclipse, the Sun’s rays are not completely blocked, but instead a certain percentage will not reach the Moon. However, in a total lunar eclipse, all of the Sun’s rays are blocked.

This eclipse will be visible in India and other Asian countries. In India, however, the entire eclipse would be visible only from the east, but the partial eclipse would be visible from the majority of the country.

Lunar eclipse precautionary measures

It is essential to take precautions during a solar eclipse, whereas no such precautions are required during a partial solar eclipse.

Even though there is no scientific evidence that the lunar eclipse affects pregnancy, many pregnant women believe they must stay indoors during the event.

Temples may remain closed in Hyderabad

It is possible that many temples in Hyderabad will remain closed during the lunar eclipse due to the celestial event.

During the event, some people also perform special rituals. Some believe that drinking water and eating food should be avoided during the event, while others believe that taking a bath after the eclipse is required.
