Hyderabad: SC and disabled welfare minister Koppula Eshwar today stated that the date was extended to Feb 15 from 6 to apply online to get help from the government.
He held a meeting with officials at his office and took stock of help being offered to physically disabled persons. He said that the due date is being extended to benefit the physically disabled persons in the state. Now there is no need for disabled persons to moving around the offices to get the work done.
The minister appealed to physically challenged persons to avail of the facility to get benefits from the government. Wheelchairs, tricycles, smartphones, hearing aids, vehicles to be given he said.

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao instructed to provide necessary band timely help to the physically disabled persons, he said.
The Chief Minister has directed to give benefits to as many as 13,195 disabled persons Eshwar said.

The government spends Rs 20.41 cr to give benefits to physically challenged persons, the minister added. He said that 900 retrofitted vehicles worth Rs 90000 each will be given. District committees will finalize the list to help beneficiaries, he added.
