Cyberabad Traffic Police take help of Rajinikanth to raise awareness about helmets

The Cyberabad Traffic Police team never misses an opportunity to deploy some creative concepts to give a strong message about following traffic laws.

And this time, once again, the Cyberabad Traffic Police have repurposed a scene from superstar Rajinikanth’s film ‘Baba,’ in which the actor asks the individuals in the room to leave for a variety of reasons.

The police have artistically altered the film to convey a message about the type of helmets that should be used by two-wheeler drivers.

The video begins with Rajini asking, ‘Nuvvu Evaru?’ (Who are you?) as images of half helmets appear. Rajini quickly shoos it out of the room. Similarly, the actor shoos aside even low-quality helmets and helmets without straps. Finally, the actor requests that a fully covered ISI marked helmet remain in the room.

With the video, the police authorities reveal that a helmet is a protective gear that should be worn with full responsibility.

A few city people also commented on the Twitter post, expressing their doubts about purchasing and wearing helmets in the metropolis. One user inquired whether he could purchase Royal Enfield helmets, and police authorities responded that completely covered helmets are a preferable alternative for road safety.

Vehicles on road now have a new speed limit

In other news, the traffic police of three urban commissionerates – Hyderabad, Cyberabad, and Rachakonda – are planning to implement a new speed limit for vehicles travelling on the capital’s main roadways.

A car, for example, can reach speeds of up to 60 km/h, whereas buses on city routes are limited to 50 km/h. Any car that exceeds the newly imposed limit will be penalized and prosecuted, according to officials.

Mr Raghunath stated that the maximum speed limit on the PVNR Expressway is 80 km/h, while the speed limit on the Nehru Outer Ring Road is 100 km/h.

In the lanes and bylanes within GHMC, the speed limit is 35 km/h. No vehicle shall be permitted to exceed 35 km/h.
