FM Harish Rao will also participate in fish program on Sept 8: Talasani Srinivas

Animal Husbandry and Fisheries Minister, Talasani Srinivas Yadav today said that Finance Minister T Harish Rao will participate in the fish program at Siddipet.

He informed the media that following Corona norms, the Finance Minister will be participating in the famous fish program at Siddipet on September 8. Harish Rao will drop the fish and prawn at Ranganayak Sagar in Chandalapur and Komatibanda lake in Siddipet on that day, he said. Also, the fisheries Minister called upon the Ministers, MPs, MLAs, MLCs, and local leaders to attend the same and drop fish and prawns in the water resources by following corona norms like wearing masks and sanitizing the hands.

He appealed to the local leaders to participate in the program of fish dropping in the lakes and water bodies to make it a big success by wearing masks and sanitizing the hands.

The State government is committed to supporting professional communities through several welfare programs, he claimed. The Chief Minister, K Chandrasekhar Rao is determined to extend financial support to the professionals, the minister said. The KCR Government, he said, has been reviving their communities to continue to earn income through regular practices. We have urged the ministers, and other leaders to follow corona norms like wearing masks and sanitizing the hands.

This year the state government will drop the fish and prawns in lakes, tanks, and water bodies as planned.

The Minister explained that this year the government plans to spend Rs 80 cr to drop about 93 cr of fish in 30,000 lakes, water bodies, and ponds across the selected districts. Also, the government will spend Rs 25 cr to drop 10 crores of prawns in 200 lakes, tanks, and ponds.

The previous year the government spent Rs 51.80 cr 68.52 fish in the 18,335 water resources he said. Also last year the government spent Rs 8.61 cr and dropped 4 cr prawns in 93 lakes and ponds.
