Hyderabad: Agriculture Minister S Niranjan Reddy today appealed to bankers to help farmers with oil palm production.
At a meeting with the bankers and other officials, Reddy asked them to prepare guidelines to provide necessary cooperation to the farmers.
The government is ready to support those who need bankers’ encouragement now he said. Coordinate and see that the farmers get to oil palm production by following scale of finance by Nabard he added. Our government is, for farmers’ welfare and the banks have to extend support, he said.
