Jalpally Officials Reinforce Covid-19 Centre Arrangements with Additional Medical Team

In order to ensure the timely treatment to the patients at a recent set-up covid-19 center at Pahadi Shareef area, the Jalpally municipality officials have arranged an additional medical team in the facility and even up keeping all the necessary arrangements at the center.

The center was set up only last month with a doctor and a nurse deployed by the government to supervise the 40 bedded makeshift facility in order to provide treatment facilities to patients infected with covid-19 infection. However, the Jalpally Municipality authorities sponsored an additional medical team at the center that includes a doctor, two paramedics, and an attendant to augment the service by their own expenses.

“Every day the facility admits around 8 to 10 patients and 50 percent of them are getting recovered. As the facility is operating with cylinders, we are referring the patients with below 80 percent pulse rate to TIMS GacchiBowli or Gandhi Hospitals in the city as we are not having high-end medical apparatus like ventilators and the expert team to operate the same at the facility. However, the medics at facility are trying to provide maximum care to the patients with whatever available medical apparatus they have at the centre and referring to other hospitals only when the situation demands or in case of emergency,” said, G.P.Kumar, Commissioner, Jalpally Municipality.

Apart from a doctor and a nurse being provided by the government at the facility, he said, we have arranged a team of medical experts that include one doctor, two staff nurses and an attendant from our end to amplify timely treatment to the patients. “We are even planning to augment the medical team if the number of patients increases. The Covid Center at Premier Plaza, Jalpally is an initiative of Minister for Education Sabitha Indra Reddy,” said the Commissioner corroborating the co-operation of Chairman Municipality Mohd Abdullah Saadi.

“Besides providing a timely medical treatment facility to the distressed families of patients, the municipality is also arranging meals for two times a day to the patients and taking care of the maintenance of the facility along with sanitation and sanitary. Our primary focus is to provide timely treatment to the patients with the available facility we have at the center,” informed S.Anjanna, Municipality supervisor of the facility.

Last month soon after re-convulsing the pandemic, the facility was inaugurated by Minister of Education P.Sabitha Indra Reddy. Out of 40 beds in a makeshift hospital at Pahadi Shareef area, around 38 beds are earmarked for the patients while two are reserved to observe the machinery like X-ray machines and for the doctor’s cabin.
