The program will be launched by Chandrashekhar Rao in the presence of three Chief Ministers: Pinarayi Vijayan of Kerala, Arvind Kejriwal of Delhi, and Bhagwant Mann, as well as former UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav.

The district administration and health officials are preparing for the successful implementation of Kanti Velugu in Khammam and Kothagudem districts, with the Chief Minister scheduled to launch the program here.

From January 18 to June 20, 17.9 lakh people over the age of 18 will be screened and treated for eye-related complications in both districts. Ten lakh people will be screened in Khammam, and 7.90 lakh in Kothagudem.

Every day, 300 people in rural areas and 400 people in urban areas will be screened, according to officials. Each Kanti Velugu team will consist of one medical officer, one ophthalmologist, two ANMs, three ASHA workers, and one data entry operator.

A car and eye examination equipment will be provided to each team in order to organise eye examination camps in each village and municipal ward. Each person in the teams will be charged Rs 1500 per day for food and lodging, and Rs 1,000 will be released in advance to gram panchayats and municipalities to help them organise the eye camps.
