Hyderabad: Fire broke out at a factory located in IDA Bollaram today. The fire accident took place at Vindya organic factory. The workers of the factory were shocked to see the flames and ran out of the factory to save their lives. The local police and fire department staff reached the site and took up rescue operations.
The fire tenders brought the flames under control. The authorities have said that the accident was the result of a reactor blast. Six workers of the party have sustained serious injuries and were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment.
Fire victims to get compensation: MLA Mahipal Reddy
TRS MLA Mahipal Reddy today said that suitable compensation will be offered to the workers who were injured in Vindhya Organics, a chemical factory fire mishap. Out of 120 workers working on the site, eight were seriously injured in the mishap that occurred in the factory today.
After the fire accident in Bollaram, the MLA from Patancheruvu visited the site and interacted with the victims. The MLA said that the fire accident was caused due to failure of necessary measures by the management. The fire broke out only due to negligence by the company management, the TRS leader said.
He said that the government will hold talks with the management of the company and ensure compensation to the victims. Eight victims were rushed to nearby Mamatha Hospital and are getting treatment.
He instructed the officials to provide better treatment to the victims. The MLA also asked the management of the company to take necessary measures to prevent the recurrence of the same. (NSS)
